Dear 澳门二四六天天彩-Brightwaters Community,
On June 24, 2024, we shared with the community that one uninsured claim brought against the District under the Child Victims Act had been settled prior to trial. In addition, four other uninsured cases have been settled. The Board of Education will be voting on formal approval of the five settlement agreements this evening (August 21, 2024).
Under the terms of these settlements, all parties are bound by confidentiality clauses, which prevent the District from providing detailed information about the cases and the terms of the settlements. As always, we will continue to share information with the community regarding these matters to the extent legally permissible.
The Board of Education is committed to fulfilling the District’s legal obligations in a manner that maintains our students’ academic and extracurricular opportunities while minimizing the financial impact on our residents. The District also remains dedicated to ensuring that any and all decisions regarding the remaining cases consider the well-being of our former, current, and future students, all while allowing our community to unite and support one another for a promising future.
